• Queen Mary’s history dates back to the year 1785, when the first medical school of England was formed.

• Queen Mary University of London has opened an International Centre for Teaching and Learning (ICTL) with one of China’s top universities, Northwestern Polytechnical University.
• The National Institute for Health Research (NIHR) has given the university a GBP 5 million grant which has allowed for the NIHR Policy Research Unit in cancer awareness, screening and early diagnosis to be renewed.
