Overview
• Based in Newcastle upon Tyne, Northumbria University traces its roots back to 1800.

• According to Rough Guides, Newcastle was the ‘Best Place to Visit in 2018’. he Law Department has been awarded the highest form of national recognition in the UK, the Queen’s Anniversary prize (2013), whilst the Arts department received funding for a Centre for Doctoral Training over the next five years, one of only 18 institutions in Britain to be awarded such funding.
• The Business School has also received double accreditation from the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB) for its business and accounting programmes, the first in Europe to achieve this feat.
