Australian Student Visa (Subclass 500) Process
The Australian Student Visa (Subclass 500) replaced the previous subclass 573, 574, 575, 576 visas. It is a single streamlined visa for all international students studying in Australia. InterEd's 98% visa success rate is built on meticulous document preparation and GTE statement coaching.
Step 1
Receive Confirmation of Enrolment (CoE)
After accepting your offer and paying the deposit, the university issues your CoE (electronic document). This is the Australian equivalent of the US I-20 — mandatory for visa application.
Step 2
Create ImmiAccount on the DOHA Portal
Register at immi.homeaffairs.gov.au. All Australian visa applications are submitted online through ImmiAccount. Do not use third-party sites claiming to be the Australian government.
Step 3
Complete Overseas Student Health Cover (OSHC)
OSHC is mandatory for the full duration of your student visa. Cost: AUD $550–$650/year for a single student. Major providers: Medibank, Bupa, NIB, CBHS. Your university may arrange it; confirm before applying.
Step 4
Gather Financial Evidence
You must show funds for first year: tuition + AUD $29,710/year living costs + travel costs (AUD $2,000–$4,000). Bank statements, FD certificates, education loan sanction letters are accepted. InterFx helps you present your finances optimally.

Write Genuine Temporary Entrant (GTE) Statement
